My msi notebook did not recognize the battery initially and would not accept it, I have no idea why and, there was no pre warning that this might happen, but it eventually recognized it. The old battery (4+yrs) would not last more than 10 minutes on a full charge, then it would be completely dead. I've been able to get about 3hrs of use on a full charge so far, I was hoping for at least 4 hrs.
